Edelrid Mega Jul – stainless steel belay device & descender
The Mega Jul is Edelrid’s versatile, lightweight, and extremely durable stainless steel belay device that also works as a descender. Built for modern climbing days, it covers lead belaying, bringing up one or two followers, and rappelling—without feeling delicate or wearing out quickly.
The updated device geometry increases braking assistance when catching a leader fall, while the thumb-loop operation helps you pay out rope faster when leading. An additional eyelet makes it easier to unlock the device in follower mode using a carabiner—handy on multi-pitch terrain.
